You know what really pisses me off? When I went to DMH this morning there was a lady in her late 50's or early 60's that looked better than I will in at least a year to a year and a half.

I took a step back this weekend. It was my 24th birthday and I went to my girlfriend's house for her brother's graduation cookout. I had a cheeseburger and macaroni salad and baked beans then I took a bratworst for the road. Then, once in Indy, we went to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. We had the nacho appetizer and then i ordered the turkey burger. It was gross so I only had a couple bites of it. Did I mention that I ordered two mixed drinks?

The next day, we went to O'Charley's for lunch and I had one roll and fiesta grilled chicken with black beans and rice and tomatoes. No breakfast. Then once back in town I had Panda Express for dinner: oragne chicken, greenbean chicken and noodles..oh, and three cream cheese rangoons with plum sauce. Then, went out and I lost count of how many drinks I had but they were double shots of raspberry vodka and lemonade and random jello shots. I didn't feel so good the next day.

The next day I ate: Macaroni and Cheese (white noodles), half a leftover cheeseburger from the cook-out, crackers with cream cheese, and then Regular size roast beef meal from Arby's with small curly fry and a large ice water.

I didn't do well but I did much better than I would have before I started paying attention to what I consume. Before, I would have stopped at the gas station on my way out of town and gotten a soda, probably not diet, then a chocolate candy bar king size and a bag of skittles and maybe some beef jerky or gardetto's then ate everything that I ate anyway.

So, I can't beat myself up too much.

I did rebound myself today though, I worked out at DMH and added 9 minutes to my whole program. I had a meal bar and kiwi for breakfast, chicken noodle soup for lunch, and then grilled turkey and cheese sandwich with onions and grilled asparagus. I only drank water today and a 12 oz gatorade.

Okay, it felt better to get all of that off my chest. I've also started reading old issues of fitness magazine and I am considering getting my own subscription but I will share my favorite articles with you. Summarized of course.

285 X2

I am at the same weight but I'm not surprised. I haven't ate that great this week. My girlfriend's grandmother passed so there was food trays and wine and someone else's kitchen and then My birthday is on Sunday so family came into town and my aunt cooked dinner for everyone and my aunt really did try to make it a healthy meal with whole wheat noodles and turkey as the protein. I'm just glad that I didn't gain weight this week. I still tried to keep my portions under control and still enjoy myself.

Last night, my cousin had a craving for pizza but nothing was open at 10:30 pm. So we settled for B-dubs 60 cent boneless wings. I ordered some but I only ate one of the wings and I'm saving the rest of them for my lunch today. I'm pretty proud of myself. This has also helped me appreciate food more and money because I'm not spending $7 or $8 for drive through food 3-5 nights a week.

Okay, I'll get you caught up on what I've been eating so you'll understand my stagnant weight...

May22 Sunday- One fried in olive oil egg, one slice of
              pepper jack cheese, three slices of turkey bacon
              and one slice of wheat toast and a glass of milk,
              Arby's turkey bacon ranch Market Fresh sandwhich,
              small curly fry, small diet dr. pepper, dinner-
              Turkey smoked sausage, whole wheat noodle mac n
              cheese, and broccoli.
May23 Monday- Meal Bar and apple, salad with celery, turkey bacon,
              and chicken bbq and ranch dressing, one tator tot,
              fruit crisps for snack, whole wheat mac n cheese
              with smoked turkey sausage, key lime yogurt with
              one whole kiwi and two strawberries for dessert.
May24 Tuesday- Half an egg and cheese sandwich, veggie burger
               and celery with ranch dressing, Beef and cheese
               quesedilla at a mexican restaurant and chips and
               salsa.
May25 Wednesday- Special K meal bar, turkey and cheddar sandwich
                 on wheat bread and assorted veggies and dip,
                 somewhere around four glasses of wine, mcdonalds
                 angus burger with swiss cheese mayo and red onions
                 and medium fry with sweet and sour sauce and a
                 medium diet dr. pepper.
May26 Thursday- One kiwi, three strawberries and granola witha
                a cup of milk, salad with celery & broccoli &
                croutons and ranch dressing, a couple bites of
                potato salad, a cupcake for snack, turkey & whole
                wheat mac n cheese & mashed potatoes and homemade
                white bread, one slice of Dairy Queen Ice Cream
                Cake.

I was pretty lazy when I was typing up my food log so if it is hard to understand then just let me know!

I also did my first official workout at DMH's cardio center today. Zack was the intern that showed me how to do all the machines and I have to check my heart rate in between every machine. He was very nice but told me he wasn't babying me next time! They also have nutrition classes that start in June so I'll have more information for you.

After this weekend, my life will settle down and I'll get back into a routine. I bought a year membership for the Y also so that I can go to some of their aerobic classes. I'll let you know how that goes too.

And if any of you ladies are single, the interns at DMH are cute!

I was hoping for at least a 5lb loss but I'll take 3. A loss is a loss.

I'll start off getting you caught up on what I've been eating. In order from Breakfast to Dinner.

Wednesday- Two eggs fried in olive oil and sea salt and pepper with two slices of colby jack cheese on wheat toast, Key Lime Pie Yogurt, Small pork chop with grilled asparagus, granola and strawberries for dessert.

Thursday- Strawberries and Granola with a cup of Milk, Veggie burger & Spring Mix Salad (with croutons) Key Lime Pie Yogurt for snack, Pepperoni and Cheese Fit and Active "Hot Pocket".

Friday- Apple and a Fit and Active Meal Bar, Can of chicken noodle soup, Fruit crisps for snack, blackened tilapia with asparagus and broccoli and a side salad with onions and blue cheese dressing (no croutons).

Saturday- Grapes & two fried eggs with turkey sausage and two slices of wheat toast, granola and strawberries with a cup of milk, "Hot Pocket" (see above) with broccoli and celery and light ranch dressing.

I'm going to have to start carrying around a notebook because I have the memory of and 80 yr old woman and that was hard.

On Wednesday, I really had a bad craving for some chocolate. A candy bar really, but I just ate some granola and strawberries for natural sugar and I felt a lot less guilt. Resentment, that's another story. I keep expecting myself to get tired of fresh fruits and vegetables and I'm almost trying to make myself sick of them but I'm not. I actually love them now.

I worked at the daycare from 8-5 on Thursday and 515 to 815 at my serving job. And did the same thing again on Friday but I didn't get off work till almost 10. I used to hardly be able to walk after this but without the sugar in my system and with my new insoles for my shoes I don't have to waddle hunched over at the end of the day.

I'm excited to start my workout program, I think it will really help with my joints and their stiffness.

The stomach issues are slowing down and I'm down to one bowel movement a day when I was having three diarrhea a day, still not solid but getting there. Hopefully my body comes out of this shock soon. I'm not having stomach cramps or the queasiness anymore.

I said that I would try to explain how I got to this point in my life so I guess I should get started on that. This part is actually harder then putting my weight on the Internet for everyone to see and it's even harder than talking about my poop. -- When my mother died, I was eight, and I was sent to counseling at my grade school. Every time I went to counseling I would get a chocolate Carmel bar afterwards from my counselor. I noticed a couple of years ago that if I were upset about something or having a bad day I went straight to chocolate to make me feel better. I can't blame the counselor for my weight because I am a grown adult but I do believe that it got me started on a very bad habit. Now that I know I have that habit I can finally stop it. Baby steps.

That's it for now. I would like some helpful hints on snacks and new meals that I can try out. I really don't want to get burnt out on my limited idea of health food.

*I started my diet on May 4th, 2011 at 292 lbs.

I'll start off with some basic guidelines for following me along on my weight loss journey.
1. The title of each individual blog will be my current weight.

2. I have no censor. Losing weight is mentally hard and physically hard and I will explicitly describe both. (Kind of like a pregnant woman talking about her mood swings and hemorrhoids.) That being said, or typed, are you ready? Then, by all means, keep reading.

3. I will list everything that I have eaten in between blogs and what I am eating at the very moment of blogging. ( I currently have no food in my grubby little hands.)

4. This blog may seem negative or insensitive to you but it is not. There is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight or being ashamed of being overweight. Everyone is different and everyone appreciates themselves for different reasons. I appreciate myself because I am smart and I have a pretty face. My belly can go.

5. I will have typos. Please, feel free to correct because I am smart but I don't know everything.

                                        The rules portion is over.

Are you wondering why I am blogging about this since I am so ashamed of myself?

Maybe it is for support; maybe it is for accountability. If people finally know that I'm fat then maybe I'll do something about it. I've always been overweight. I wasn't just the typical chubby kid; I was a fat kid and now I'm a fat adult. I think it has really stopped me from doing a lot of things in my life, and no, I don't mean not being able to ride certain roller coasters (although this has happened before). I have a full time job at a daycare and I am a teacher in the two year old room. It is hard enough to keep up with two year old, let alone carrying around an extra 150lbs. I also work part time as a server. Okay, I don't want to overwhelm my readers with the first blog.

Physically it really sucks being fat. My knees grind. My feet hurt and they swell. I'm not sure where my elbows went. And I haven't seen my ankles in years.

If you know me then you know that I like to shop. Shopping is frustrating when I'm limited to the tiny corner section at certain stores and even limited to certain stores. Believe it or not, my body type (which is short also: 5 foot 2) does not look good in everything. I want to look good in anything.

I am doing this weightloss program with a doctors support and advice. 5 serving of veggies and 3 servings of fruit a DAY. I was lucky to eat a vegetable a week and now 5 servings a day?! It really messes with your system and if you take this approach I recommend baby powder. No more caffeine which I have done surprisingly well with. I have had one cup of iced coffee, unsweetened, since I started this venture two weeks ago. ( Go ahead and judge me, it was finals week!) My cholesterol and thyroid are normal and no Diabetes. I am very lucky for those blessings considering the way I used to eat.

Some of the changes that I've made so far to my life style are: wheat instead of white, vegetable or two with every meal except breakfast (that's when I have my fruit), turkey meat instead of beef, no more candy or chocolate, no more fast food, no more sodas or juices or coffee and instead of these drinks I carry around a water bottle. I exercise. Nothing too serious but Just Dance 2 and a walk around the neighborhood. I will be starting with a personal trainer next week 3 days a week for 45 minutes AT 7 AM!

One thing to remember when dieting is that it is okay to make exceptions; people are not perfect and their diets won't be either. Just don't get carried away with the exceptions.
